Mark N. Osterkamp (age 65), is a Brawley resident. During the past five years, Mr. Osterkamp has primarily been involved as president of Osterkamp Farms. The third-generation farm is owned by Mr. Osterkamp and his son and they grow alfalfa, sugar beets, carrots, sunflower seed, Bermuda, dehydrated onions, durum wheat, kline grass and sudan grass. He is also progressive in water conservation, which forms an additional profit center through water sales to their local irrigation district. Mr. Osterkamp serves on the Board of Rockwood Chemical Company; Imperial County Farm Bureau; California Beet Growers Association. He also serves on the Imperial Irrigation District Water Conservation Advisory Committee.
