Farm Credit Member Since:
1997

Leadership Positions (Current):

• Managing Member of Oswald Water District

Leadership Positions (Former):
• Former Vice Chair – Farm Credit West
• Former Vice Chair – Farm Credit West-Enterprise Risk Management Committee

Why I am seeking election to the Board:
It has been a great honor to serve not only on the Board, but also serve as the Chair, of an organization whose sole mission is to work in partnership with and provide unwavering support to our agricultural producers. This past year was an amazing example of the dedication FCW has to its member borrowers. From the management team to our staff that works in our offices through the Western states, FCW showed great insight by leading the charge to reassess the needs of growers during an extraordinary time. This resulted in the move to provide much needed capital through the advancement of patronage and reimagine ways staff can meet the day-to-day needs to our customers. As we continue the work to rise to each new challenge in our industry, it would be a privilege to continue to be a part of the team that has the character and heart to move us forward.

Why vote for me:
My time on the Board provides me with a great deal of historical knowledge on how past practices have influenced the evolution of FCW. As the current Chair, I bring these perspectives to make sure that our Board is leading with our values in mind and that we are strategic in our mission. In addition, as a grower myself I also have direct experience with the same challenges/opportunities as the growers we represent. As a result, I am able to participate in the decision-making process at the Board level with a deep understanding of the critical need to remain relevant and responsive to the needs of our growers while keeping an eye on improving our systems and structures to ensure the organization is healthy. I have also worked on an individual level to make sure that I continue my own education on best practices. To that end, I completed my certification in our Premier Governance Series and completed a fellowship to become a National Association of Corporate Directors Fellow.

I would be honored to continue representing our member borrowers as a Farm Credit West Board of Director.
